James Bond 007 - Blood Stone

I haven't played any James Bond games before, but I thought I'l try it and I have only one thing to say -- AWESOME! Infact, I'm rating it above Black Ops! Might be stupid, but I loved this game. It has every element in it, be it shooting, suspense, story line, driving(Car+Boat), stealth you name it!

The story is fun, infact this is a movie pre release and takes you literally through the movie. You'll feel the video sequences enjoyable. It's like you play through to watch the movie, fight your own way through it. It has all elements of a James Bond Movie, an Aston Martin, a smart phone, stealth and of course the Bond Girl.
The story revolves around the search of a Bio chemical weapon, and the secrets behind it. The Game ends without an ending to the story, but its still awesome!
The gameplay is similar to Batman Arkham Asylum -- infact this game is comparable to it! The same camera view(Above shoulder), and the use of Smartphone mode(similar to Detective Mode). The smartphone mode lets you know the position of enemies, weapons and Intels. It also shows you the way to your target. The gameplay is basically takes a cover and shoot strategy -- similar to the gameplay in Terminator Salvation. The "Takedown" option of Arkham Asylum is also available here. There is a Focus Aim option which can be used limited and gets recharged. Its like slow mo mode and helps you put down people faster. There is a wide variety of weapons available, and you get to control and Anti Missile gun to protect a hover from getting shot down(The most annoying level in the game).
Apart from this there are awesome Car chases, on the Aston you glaze through a frozen river -- totally awesome! There are also other car scenarios wherein you have to dodge the obstacles falling in front of you. The beginning has an awesome Speed boat ride, you are surely going to enjoy it. The video clips in between seem awesome with original character portrayals of Bond and other characters. This is a must play game! Try it!
Yeah! That's you!
Now getting on to how the game looks. The graphics and sound effects is simply awesome, with the character s portrayed very well. The soundtracks are also good. Activision has worked out a well crafted Menu. Finally I would like to put a note on how it worked on my laptop the HP Pavilion dv6000 with specs
  • Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @2.00 GHz
  • 3.00 GB Ram
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard(64 bit) edition
  • NVIDIA Gefore 8400M GS - 1518 MB(256 Dedicated)
  • 150 GB Hard Disk
This game is not meant to be played on this laptop. The FPS is crappy, the soundtrack goes out of sync on every video clip and you'll probably get shot down more than once for not responding well. But I completed the game on the same laptop, the configs set to minimum with a resolution of 800x600. I wish I could have a powerful rig to enjoy the game.
