That's a real one!

Medal of Honor(Campaign)

Medal of Honor 2010, the latest of its Series, has kept up its reputation. EA tied up with DICE(famous for its previous biggie BFBC2) to put forth an interesting FPS war game. With Call of Duty series reigning this field of gameplay, Medal of Honor has put forward a challenge.
The story takes place on the aftermath of September 11, the early attacks in Afghanistan. Unlike other war games, MoH has put forward only a part of a campaign. It doesn stretch from months to years as in other campaigns, or in different parts of the world. Most of the gameplay takes place in hilly areas of Afghanistan. So what new has MoH put forward? The story sequence I should say. From one chapter to another, the story has been well linked up, giving a nice feel of continuity. Major part of the game you play as "Rabbit" who's end marks the end of the game. The developers have created an awesome atmosphere towards the end of the game. The Soundtrack is another huge impact, composed by Ramin Djawadi, does its job well. The graphics is awesome, gameplay has been done well too. You really get the feel of what " your 6...on your 12'o clock..." mean on a warfield. The gameplay involves varieties such as driving vehichles, ripping of the ground from an AH-64 Apache, using Predators and hell fires etc. Frustrating moments are provided by the supervisors trying to indulge in the activities.
As all the recent War games have, this particular version also has the disadvantage of having a really short storyline. It barely provides a gameplay of 6 hours. Eventhough it does not give the thrill and chill of CoD, its still a nice shot for gamerz waiting for Black Ops. Give a shot, its worth it.

Finally I would like to put a note on how it worked on my laptop the HP Pavilion dv6000 with specs
  • Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @2.00 GHz
  • 3.00 GB Ram
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard(64 bit) edition
  • NVIDIA Gefore 8400M GS - 1518 MB(256 Dedicated)
  • 150 GB Hard Disk
It worked  fine on low Graphic setting and a resolution of 800x600. In fact it worked as fine as Modern Warfare, so its definitely playable, and enjoyable!

Lockerz has finally come up with something interesting other than giving out prizes. Their own form of social networking which is a fresh idea from the Social networks we have now. fwb;) i.e friends with benefits allows your friends to be beneficial for you. Till today Lockerz was all about earning PTZ through monotonous methods and try your luck on redemptions. Lockerz launched the beta version 1 of fwb;) yesterday and have got an overwhelming response even with a few glitches.
So what is fwb;) ? Here are some points which makes the concept clear
  • The whole new concept of Decalz introduced, you have a Decal for everything - updates on walls, videos you watch and items you Shop.
  • When you watch a video, a new Decal is created in the "Play Shelf" of you Hallway, you have to click on the '+' on the Right top of the Decal for your friends to view it. Similar is the case to Shop. There is a new addition of Shop Decals which you purchase for 1$, and will be showcased in your Shop Shelf
  • Now about earning PTZ, you earn PTZ everytime you watch a video by clicking your Friend's Decal(only unwatched videos) and also you earn PTZ to that friend! So its totally mutual co-operation now! Same is with Shop Decalz, you click your friend's Shop Decal and they earn PTZ, purchase the item and they earn huge amount of PTZ! PTZ details are available in the pic below
  • Adding friends are done via Emails, all you have to do is to send an invitation to your friend and you are connected when he accepts it. He can then view your Decalz and help you earn PTZ! Now this is Fun! Just don't put too much expectations on the Prizes Make new friends via fwb;)
  • Finally! Add me - ! Have tons of videos with length less than 90 seconds!
fwb;) is in its beta and lots of bugs have been reported. Non functioning of Shop Decalz is a popular one. Some of them have come up with an indirect fix to this issue. Once you click the Shop Decalz, you will get directed to the Page of the corresponding Product. Now browse through some other item, and tada! You'll notice that PTZ have added up to your account! Enjoy!

Playstation Phone?

This is the new hype for Geeks, screenshots of a phone which resembles to a Playstation is all over Internet. All Tech sites are reporting on it. Even before launch or announce, it is marked as a trend in Twitter. A few Tech sites put down the specs as follows.
"...The device snapped up top (and in our gallery below) is sporting a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 (a chip similar to the one found in the G2, but 200MHz faster), 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and the screen is in the range of 3.7 to 4.1 inches. The handset does indeed have a long touchpad in the center which is apparently multitouch, and you can see in the photos that it's still bearing those familiar PlayStation shoulder buttons. For Sony buffs, you'll be interested to know that there's no Memory Stick slot here, but there is support for microSD cards...."

Harry Potter Series

The final movie of the Harry Potter series released a week ago, and to most of us, the era of Harry Potter is over. But I have a request to all those who have enjoyed the movie, but not read the book. There is a lot more in books(and I should say tons more). The details and fun of being immersed in a Harry Potter book cannot be conveyed through a movie.
Lazy on reading books? Well, let me say I am the laziest reader you'll find. I'm literally scared to get into a library. And I should also add that the Harry Potter series were the only books which grappled myself into it. Its an unbelievable experience, and experience everyone should get into. Your imagination runs wild in there, ofcourse it will be limited now because you have a preconception from the movie. But still, when you go through the pages, you'll realise the purpose of many untold stories in the movie.

Lockerz Tips(Beginners Only)

Lots of new features are coming up in Lockerz, and a beginner would be wondering how people earn so many PTZ to bid on Auctions. Here are a few basics...
  • Get to Z-List as soon as possible. Don't just invite friends and wait for them to join. Bugging your friends would be the best tactic. Keep asking your friends to join personally, via chat, talks or mails. Make new friends on Social Networks. Put up ads on blogs, and finally, be convincing! Keep proofs in hand

Manchester Utd. Vs. Stoke City

Manchester Utd.,with immense pressure after previous results, almost repeated the trend of letting down the lead. Chicharito scored two goals to make sure Manchester did not let off the points. Stoke City leveled with United in the early 80 minutes. But Chicharito scored a decisive 85th minute goal to conclude the finale. Marking his 600th appearance, Gary Neville did not have such a good game, getting marked early and almost being sent off before half time. He was substituted by Wes Brown early in the second half. Chicharito, making his second start in the Premier league scored his second goal with an amazing Header to give Manchester Utd. the lead in the 27th minute. Patrice Evra had a new role to play today, he was pushed into left mid wing in the absence of Giggs and Rooney. And he served his responsibilities well. Stoke City missed a couple of chances to change the course of the match.
Stoke City played really well in the second half, Tuncay came up with an awesome goal, but could not defend their nets for long. Manchester hold well to grab 3 points and moves to the second position with 17 points. Chelsea who had marked a victory earlier with Wolverhampton Leads the BPL table with 22 points.

Wayne Rooney, A Traitor?

This has been the talk for the past few weeks. Every Football enthusiast and Football expert put in their own views. Let me put my view in here.
There is an old saying here in Kerala, " മുറ്റത്തെ മുല്ലയ്ക്ക് മണമില്ല " , it means that the Fragrance of a flower right in front of you is seldom noticed. Its true to every realm of society. Rooney has been the centre of attraction since his step into Football. He has been off form for a while, which he is not used too. Mind you Rooney is still enjoying his early years of football, and as every Human pass through his most vulnerable "Teenage", same happened here. None knows the importance of being is such a huge community when you have been a part of it ever since. My verdict is, Rooney is an awesome striker, and Manchester United will lead him the way to success. Wayne Rooney would be thankful to Sir Alex Ferguson in the end. For the moment, support is what Rooney wants, and let us give it to him.

Windows Server 2008 R2

Now anyone who reads this article would be thinking why would one opt to use a Server Operating System when there are lot more options. I'd like to say if you are a Student and you need a Genuine Operating System(which surely is a idiom to Extinct) go for Windows Server 2008 R2. Wondering how? Microsoft has come up with a program to inspire Students to design and develop softwares by providing the soft resources free of cost. Dreamspark offers major Microsoft products such as Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and several other Genuine Products to Students without the overhead of Paying for them. All you need to do is verify yourself as a student and Download! I'd recommend every student out there to make use of this highly resourceful program and get more details about it and

My First Post...

Its about how I killed my time(and myself) till now...
An IT professional would come across the word 'Virtual' pretty often, everything is virtual in the world of Computers. But I am referring to a world, which has become home for the present generation. The world created by Internet. People love to live in there, rather than getting into the bizarre reality. Reminds me the tag-line of the Hollywood movie “ Inception” : The Dream is Real. Yes! Every individual of the present generation wants the Dream to be Real, and Internet, makes it possible virtually.
