Bad news for Indians as it's almost confirmed that Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu would be no more, after the wreckage of the chopper was recovered. Union home minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said Arunachal chief minister Dorjee Khandu' helicopter crash site has been identified and Army team has been sent to identify the helicopter.
"It seems like crash site and three unidentified bodies have been sited," Chidamabaram said while addressing the media.
The Pawan Hans AS350 B-3 helicopter carrying the Chief Minister took off from Tawang at 9.50 am on Saturday,April 30. The last radio contact with the ground was about 20 minutes after take off as it flew over the Sela Pass along the Chinese border perched at an altitude of 13,700 feet.
While Pawan Hans claims the Chopper carrying Arunachal CM was new, many are commenting on the lack of security and communication systems present in the North Eastern part of the country.
