May 21st, Judgement Day!

Ive been hearing buzzes on May 21 on Internet, but never bothered about it. My May 21 began as usual, a late wakeup at 10am, and then a slow brush-up checking my mails. I never even have the thought of May 21 till around noon when I joined my neighbors. A 10 year old girl was saying "Wear new good dresses today, the world is going to end!" That's when the thought struck on to me. Later my Cousin quoted "Shouldve paid the Bill tomorrow, today anyways the World would end!" . I began to think the influence that such thoughts and rumors have on Children and Grown ups equally. That girl is checking upon the Clock every hour, anxious to know how the World would end. Tsunami his Brother said, "Nah, its gona be an Earthquake", then my dad added "No way, its gona be a Tsunami from the Arayi(A nearby small Lake)"
The thought is fun, watching movies like 2012, blasts our imagination wild. Many movies have portrayed the Theme of the World End, but ever thought why May 21st was picked up as the Judgement Day? Or what you mean by Judgement Day?
Judgement Day never means the End of the World, infact it is the Beginning of the End of Days (Not the Movie!!!). Ive quoted a few lines from judgementday2011.com

"May 21st Judgement Day is going to be the decisive day when Jesus returns for the Rapture.  True believers will be brought to Heaven, and that will be the End of The World for the approximately 3,000,000 people will be saved, according to Harold Camping. The remaining people on earth that are not saved by Jesus in the May 21 Rapture will be sentenced to 5 months of torment under the rule of Jesus during the End of Days.  The End Times will cause anarchy, chaos, disasters, and the end of civilization as we know it.  Everyone left on earth will be well aware that Jesus is Lord, but savior will not be an option after May 21 Doomsday. Harold Camping helps us determine that October 21, 2011 will be the actual date of the End of the World.  The End Times will be very trying for the lost souls, as the End of The World approaches."
Aha! So its not the End of the World yet! But then why May 21? Apparently there are two conclusions on why May 21, 2011 as quoted from businessinsider.com

  • The first proof is based on Genesis 7:4, when God said to Noah:
"Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made."When God referred to seven days, he meant both seven days and seven thousand years, because "one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." The flood occurred in 4990 BC. Seven thousand years later is 2011.
  • The second proof looks at the significance of the number of days between the Crucifixion and May 21, 2011.
There are 722,500 days between these dates. 722,500 is a significant number because it is composed of the significant numbers 5x10x17x5x10x17. Five signifies redemption; ten signifies completion; and 17 signifies heaven. The numbers represent the day of redemption (5) and the end of the Christian era (10) and the ascent to heaven (17) -- and these factors are doubled for added significance.
Ha! Nothing seems convincing enough for me! Lets wait and see, how the wrath comes upon us!
