Pro Evolution Soccer 11 Vs. Fifa 11

Totally agree with Paul! Fifa 11 is undoubtedly the winner in this contest. But PES 11 has its positives, I would say a combination of Fifa11 and PES11 would be the ultimate Football Experience! I had already written down a review on Fifa11, Ive been playing Fifa11 for quite a long and recently tried out PES11. It fascinated me in several aspect, but certainly does not win over Fifa 11. So what attracts me to PES11? Certainly the presentation! PES 11 has the best and elegant presentation from any game, a screenshot of the Menu would give you a good idea on how it looks

The presentations and trailers are worked out really well, and catches the eye in first sight. The graphics are also worked out well, Rooney looks way better in PES11 than in Fifa11 and PES11 has given importance to Replays and Pre-match shows when the Graphics and details look awesome! The Commentary is acceptable, not upto the standards of Andy Gray ofcourse! The crowd chantings have been crafted impressively too. So overall, the game looks awesome! The environment, the details, the sound - Everything that we see, is Awesome! But it seriously lacks the depth in gameplay - which Fifa11 has mastered.
Fifa11 has different body languages for almost all players. Berbatov's body language is never similar to that of Rooney(I love the way Berbatov was programmed in Fifa11)! But PES11 has very less depth in gameplay, almost all players run and move in the same way. The movements are not smooth either, and changing the gameplan is a bit complex. Fifa11  has really worked up on the game physics, and PES11 is not even 50% close to them, its a fact. But when you compare the presentation and looks, PES11 is one step ahead of Fifa11. The next thing that brings PES 11 down is the amount of content, only a very few list of clubs have authentic content, for example, you would be disappointed if you are a Chelsea fan, the Club's name and other details would be different in the game. Also the in game menu selections and career progress is slow and a bit irritating and monotonous.
The only point I support in PES11 is the presentation and elegantly designed menus. Let me put a note on how it worked on my laptop the HP Pavilion dv6000 with specs
  • Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @2.00 GHz
  • 3.00 GB Ram
  • Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard(64 bit) edition
  • NVIDIA Gefore 8400M GS - 1518 MB(256 Dedicated)
  • 150 GB Hard Disk
It worked pretty well on low resolution, but still you wont get the smooth flow required to enjoy the game. But the game certainly looks better. So another downfall for the HP dv6000, PES11 - Not Recommended.
